Overview
At Safe Eclipse, we accept returns and issue refunds only where required by applicable consumer law or where expressly stated in this policy. We do not offer a general voluntary returns policy beyond your statutory rights.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
This policy applies to consumer purchases made through our website. Business, trade, wholesale, and reseller orders may be subject to separate terms.
Right to cancel for UK and EU consumers
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or European Union and purchase from us online, you generally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason.
If your order is delivered in multiple shipments, the cancellation period runs from the day you receive the last item in the order.

After notifying us of cancellation, you must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after telling us you wish to cancel.
Returns for non-faulty items
For non-faulty items returned under a statutory cancellation right, the goods must be returned complete, including all accessories, inserts, cases, packaging, and accompanying materials reasonably provided with the order.
The goods may be inspected only as they would be in a physical retail setting. Where permitted by law, we reserve the right to reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
For safety-critical solar viewers, folding, creasing, bending, or damaging the frame or filters may materially reduce or eliminate the item’s resale value. Where permitted by law, any refund may be reduced to reflect the actual loss in value, which may in some cases amount to the full purchase price where the returned item has no remaining resale value.
Return shipping costs
For non-faulty items returned under a statutory cancellation right, you are responsible for the direct cost of return shipping unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We do not provide prepaid return labels for non-faulty returns unless we choose to do so at our discretion.
If an item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, return shipping costs will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Once your request is submitted, we will provide the correct return address and any return instructions applicable to your order.
Items sent back without prior notification or without sufficient identifying information may experience delays in processing until they can be matched to the original order.
Returns must be sent only to the return address we provide. Do not send returns to our registered office or UK contact address unless specifically instructed to do so.
Refunds for cancelled orders
If your cancellation is valid, we will reimburse the purchase price paid for the returned goods and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the order.
If you selected express, priority, or any upgraded shipping service, the additional amount above the least expensive standard delivery option is not refundable.
We may withhold the refund until we receive the returned goods, or until you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
Any refund due will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise.

If a product is confirmed to be faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.
If you are an EU consumer, goods generally benefit from a minimum 2-year legal guarantee. If you are a UK consumer, you retain your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Items not eligible for return except where required by law
Except where required by law, we do not accept returns or provide refunds for:

Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, you must place a new order separately.
This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described.
